The Check Up
The Rutland Centre treats approximately 400 people per year for addiction, including alcohol, drugs, sex, food and gambling addiction. Cases of gambling addiction presenting at the Rutland Centre have increased in the last three years to 9.5% from 7% in 2014/2015 and 3% in 2013.
Joanne O’Riordan joined some of last year’s Hidden Heroes to launch Hidden Heroes 2016. The Hidden Heroes Awards recognise the achievements of people, young and old, who have made a significant contribution to Irish society, in their community, workplace, family or through sporting excellence.
